Kym Renee Boob

Kym Renee Boob, 40, of Yakima died Monday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Boob was born in Sheridan, Wyo., and had been a resident of Yakima for 10 years. She worked for the state of Washington as a community corrections officer.

Survivors include her husband, Adam Boob of Yakima; a son, Alexander John Boob; her father, John H. Castle; her mother, JoAnne Neal; and two sisters, Amy Neal and Rachel Long.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Golden Villa Retirement Park Community Room.

Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

 

Angel Espinoza

Angel Espinoza, infant son of Maribel Barrera and Jesus Espinoza of Sunnyside, was born and died May 8 at Sunnyside Community Hospital

Besides his parents, he is survived by two siblings of Sunnyside.

Cremation followed Angel's death.

Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.

 

Richard Tom George

Richard Tom George, 67, of Toppenish died Tuesday.

Mr. George was born and raised in Toppenish and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a cattleman and also worked for Yakama Nation as a carpenter. He was a member of the Yakama Nation.

Survivors include a sister, Elsie George of Toppenish; and a granddaughter.

Dressing services were held Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Home. He was then transported to Satus Longhouse for overnight services. The funeral procession will leave the Longhouse at 8 a.m. today for burial in Wa la la kite Cemetery in Union Gap.

 

James William Schut

James William Schut, 79, of Kennewick died Wednesday.

Mr. Schut was born in Naches.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis C. Schut of Kennewick; a son, Steve Schut of Sunnyside; two daughters, Sherry Gonzalez of Pasco and Sandy Schut of Richland; two sisters, Mickey Murphy and Elsie Bell; his stepmother, Margery Schut; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of cremation services.

 

Clements Bender

Clements Bender, 83, of Yakima died Tuesday.

Mr. Bender was born in St. Anthony, N.D., and served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He worked as a supervisor for the phone company until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi Bender of Yakima; two sons, Larry Bender of Gleed and Dan Bender of Tacoma; three brothers, two sisters, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral, with a vigil starting at 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul Cathedral.

 

Roger Steven Moerman

Roger Steven Moerman, 52, of Yakima died Tuesday at home.

Mr. Moerman was born in Yakima. He worked at Horace Smith Orchard on Selah Heights for several years. He currently worked at Lloyd Garretson Company on Naches Heights.

Survivors include his mother, Hazel Moerman of Union Gap; his father, Bruce Moerman of Yakima; and a sister, Rowena Riley of Union Gap.

Private family services are being planned for a later date.

 

Roger Warren Conant

Roger Warren Conant, 64, of Federal Wash., died Sunday at Auburn Regional Hospital.

Mr. Conant was born in Ellensburg and grew up in Prosser. He served in the Army and later worked for the Internal Revenue Service. In October 1971 he was hit by a drunken driver and permanently disabled.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of Puyallup, Wash.; a son, Aaron of Bonney Lake, Wash.; two brothers, Richard of Ryderwood, Wash., and Charles of Boise, Idaho; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Creator Lutheran in Bonney Lake. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Grandview Cemetery.

Powers Funeral Home of Sumner, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

 

Bruce E. Cook

Bruce E. Cook, 58, of Toppenish died Tuesday in Yakima.

Mr. Cook was born in Yakima and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a long haul trucker for over 33 years, his last year and a half was as a driver for White Hauling of Prosser.

Survivors include his wife, Tammie Leanne Cook of Toppenish; 12 children, Suzanne Stover, Bruce M. Stinson, Amanda Cook, Katherine Cook and Rabecca Cook, all of Spokane, Trinity Roller of Moxee, Dusten Roller of Seattle, Jamie Roller of Union Gap, Kizzi Brown, Kendra Parmentier and Amanda Woodbury-House of Yakima, and Brandi Cook of Toppenish; his father, Arlie and Sue Cook of Spokane; his mother, Lorraine Gorski of Selah; two sisters, Sherry McCord of Buena and Renee Isadore of Toppenish; and 19 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, also at Merritt Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Reservation Community Memorial Park.

 

Norma Jean Tilton

Norma Jean Tilton, 52, of Yakima died Monday.

Mrs. Tilton was born in Yakima.

Survivors include four daughters, Angel Peterson, Natasha Peterson and Naomi Wise, all of Yakima, and Jessica Peterson of Spokane; a son, Theodore Peterson Jr. of Yakima; her companion, Melvin Houtz of Yakima; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

 

Maybelle Prothero

Maybelle Prothero, 91, of Zillah died Tuesday at home.

Mrs. Prothero was born in Beverly, Mass., and served in the Coast Guard during World War II. She also worked for Medstar Cabulance for 25 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Carole Huls of Naches, Cheryl McLane of Salt Lake City and Mary Lynne Bergener of Zillah; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be May 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Naches, with burial in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Times are pending.
