WENATCHEE — Two beer-swiping teens were foiled by freshly fallen snow Sunday morning.
At about 7 a.m., two boys, ages 13 and 14, entered the Squilchuck Market and Video, grabbed two 18-packs of Budweiser and ran off, said Chelan County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jerry Moore. Responding deputies found the fleeing boys had left clear footprints in the snow that had fallen overnight.
They followed the tracks to a residence about a block away where they found the beer and the boys, who were arrested on suspicion of theft.
