"HERE WE COME A-CAROLING: A HOLIDAY MUSICAL REVUE." CWU's new Bachelor of Fine Arts Musical Theatre program presents an assortment of holiday tunes.

"TINY TIM'S CHRISTMAS." If you ever wondered what happened to poor Tiny Tim after "A Christmas Carol" ends, The Valley Theatre Company lets you find out in this "sequel" to the Dickens' classic.

OLD-FASHIONED HOLIDAYS IN THE VILLAGE. Prosser's Vintners Village will be dressed in holiday style this weekend and host a gingerbread house contest, craft and gift vendors, singing carolers, a horse-drawn carriage, lighting ceremonies and Toys for Tots drop boxes.

WESLEY UNITED METHODIST CHRISTMAS BAZAAR. The women's group of Wesley UMC hosts this annual bazaar, which features baked goods, candies, craft items, Christmas and home decorations and many collectibles. A luncheon will also be served. Proceeds from the bazaar go to local and national mission projects as well as scholarships for Wesley UMC's preschool.

TOY TRAIN CHRISTMAS. Visit Toppenish's historic train depot decorated with trees and model trains, then take a short caboose ride to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus. Plus, there are cookies, cocoa and crafts for the kids.

YAKIMA VALLEY MUSEUM HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE. Admission is free during the museum's annual holiday open house.

"A CHRISTMAS CAROL." The Capitol Theatre and Warehouse Theatre Company present this lavish production of the Charles Dickens classic. "It's a happier, more upbeat 'Christmas Carol,'" promises director Barbara Lund. "I don't think people will go away thinking they've seen the same show." Arrive early to pet reindeer and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus out front. Note: That block of Third Street will be closed most of Saturday and Sunday.

SUNNYSIDE LIGHTED FARM IMPLEMENT PARADE. The Northwest's premier lighted parade since 1989, this event in downtown Sunnyside boasts more than 50 farm implements, vehicles and floats covered with decorative lights. It begins at 6 p.m. Saturday on Warehouse Avenue, turns onto South Sixth Street, then east on Edison Avenue, crosses Yakima Valley Highway and ends in the Mid Valley Mall parking lot.

WHISPERS OF CHRISTMAS. Enjoy Christmas carols and tasty treats, and take photos with Santa at Selah's annual free community holiday celebration.

GOLDENDALE/KLICKITAT COUNTY CHRISTMAS BAZAAR. More than 60 booths including art, crafts and quilts, plus entertainment and food. Kids and pet pictures taken with Santa are developed while you shop. Proceeds will be donated to Dogs of the Gorge.

"AN OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS." The women's choral group Bel Canto of Yakima performs its annual Christmas concert. A bake sale precedes the concert at 2 p.m. Sunday and a gingerbread house auction follows. Proceeds from both benefit the Bel Canto Scholarship Fund.
When & where: 3 p.m. Sunday at the Yakima Evangelical Church, 7901 Nob Hill Boulevard.
Cost: Free-will offering to be donated to a local nonprofit program that serves meals on Friday nights.
HOLIDAY LIGHT PARADE. 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Put on some gloves, pack a thermos of cocoa and enjoy Yakima's holiday parade as it travels down Yakima Avenue from Sixth Avenue to Third Street. Stick around afterward for a choral performance, a visit from Santa and the lighting of the city's Christmas tree in the Millennium Arts Plaza on South Third Street.

SECOND SUNDAY SERIES: A STAN KENTON BIG BAND CHRISTMAS. A Yakima holiday tradition, this concert features Christmas carol arrangements originally written for the Stan Kenton Orchestra by Kenton -- known for his blazing horn sections and Cuban influences -- and Ralph Carmichael. The band has no saxophones, but includes four trumpets, four French horns, four trombones, tuba and a rhythm section.

WINTER FESTIVAL CONCERT. The Yakima Valley Community Band's winter concert features a variety of musical selections including "The Star-Spangled Banner," Mannheim Steamroller's "Stille Nacht," a march or two and Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride." Admission is free.

17th ANNUAL ARBORETUM LUMINARIA. Enjoy the glow of 1,000 candles as they light your way through the arboretum grounds. Then warm up in the Jewett Interpretive Center, where there's live music, children's activities and hot cider.

"LA PASTORELA ST. JOSEPH." La Casa Hogar, St. Joseph Catholic Parish and St. Joseph/Marquette School present this bilingual play based on a Mexican Christmas story. The script has been adapted to reflect life in Yakima through interviews with local residents, both Anglo and Latino.
