Lavon L. Hellums

Lavon L. Hellums, 56, of Parker died Nov. 18 at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

Mrs. Hellums was born in Yakima. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband William Hellums of Parker; a daughter, Amosina Rock of Parker; three brothers, James Burton of Yakima, Wayne Burton of Parker, and Eddie Burton of Vancouver, Wash; seven sisters, Virginia Miller of Bucoda, Wash., Sharon Hicks of Missouri, Donna Davis of Idaho, Linda Hellums and Barbara Burtenelly, both of Yakima, Diane Marney of Naches and Patricia Elliot of Cashmere; and a grandchild.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Naches Cemetery.

Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory in Yakima is in charge of arrangements.

 

Elsie Boyle

Elsie Boyle, 87, of Wapato died Friday at her home.

Mrs. Boyle was born in Hot Springs, S.D. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Everett Boyle of Wapato; three children, Patsy Boyle of California, Virgil Boyle of Harrah and Lane Boyle of Wapato; a brother, Cliff Gustavensen of Butte, Mont.; two sisters, Sigrid Harvey of Oregon and Christina Hanson of Longview, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Merritt Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Merritt Funeral Home, with concluding services at West Hills Memorial Park.

 

Bruce W. Kirby

Bruce W. Kirby, 54, of Yakima died Friday.

Mr. Kirby was born in Witchita Falls, Texas. He served in the Navy.

Survivors include his mother, Delia Kirby; four brothers, Carl Kirby and Marvin Kirby, both of Yakima, Ben Kirby of Texas and Kevin Kirby of California; and three sisters, Jana Stephens of Texas, Margie Hensley of McMinnville, Ore., and Rhonda Shattuck of Seattle.

Visitation is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima. A graveside service is at 2 p.m. Thursday at West Hills Memorial Park.

Steven C. McNett Sr.

Steven C. McNett Sr., 59, of Selah died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Mr. McNett was born in Elmira, N.Y. He worked for the New York Corrections Department for 20 years. In 1989, he moved to Yakima, where he worked at the Yakima County Corrections Department as the pretrial release officer.

Survivors include his wife, Connie McNett, of Selah; three sons, Steven McNett Jr. and Ryan McNett, both of Selah, and Chad McNett of Black Diamond; a daughter, Lindsey Burkett of Selah; his mother, Harriet McNett, of Williamsport, Pa.; a brother, Wayne McNett of Elmira, N.Y.; two sisters, Charlotte Hays of Litchfield, Ky., and Janet Davis of Cogan Station, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima. The funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.

 

Eugene Zinky

Eugene Zinky, 75, of Yakima died Friday at his home.

No additional information about Mr. Zinky is available.

Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home in Yakima is handling funeral arrangements. Any relatives of Zinky should call the funeral home at 453-3141.
