ELLENSBURG -- One of two drivers hospitalized in a collision Wednesday night was cited for drunken driving and speeding.
About 11 p.m., Hunter P. Houle, 22, of Bellevue, was driving his 2006 Chrysler four-door north on Main Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign. He struck a vehicle driven by Mario M. Magnotti, 24, of Ellensburg, who also was headed north on Main Street in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala and was attempting to turn left onto East 14th Avenue, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Both cars were towed from the scene and the two were taken to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital — Houle with neck, hand and ankle injuries and Magnotti with cuts to his face and bruises to his knee, police said.
The patrol cited Houle for drunken driving and speeding.
