With one day left in the election filing period, the field of candidates did not change at all Thursday.
For the second straight day, nobody filed for election with the Yakima County Auditor's Office. Candidates have until 5 p.m. today to file.
All of the candidates who have announced campaigns for Yakima County's state legislative districts now have filed, with Internet entrepreneur John Gotts of White Salmon filing Wednesday for the state House seat in the 15th District. That district, which includes part of southern Yakima County, is represented by Bruce Chandler, R-Granger. Chandler filed for re-election to the spot earlier in the week.
