MISSOULA, Mont. — Paced by Rudy Spencer and Dani Eggleston, the Central Washington men’s and women’s cross-country teams both placed fourth in the six-team University of Montana Open meet Friday.
Spencer was the men’s top finisher for the fourth time in as many meets, placing 19th overall on Friday as he covered the 8-kilometer course in 26 minutes, 45 seconds. Nathan Minor, Tomislav Smith and John Wojtech all had top-30 finishes and Nick Spencer was 36th.
Eggleston edged teammate Connie Morgan for Central’s top finisher, placing 12th overall in 22:47, with Morgan right behind at 22:48. Lacey Wagner was 32nd, Danielle Maldonado 35th, Megan Rogers 37th and Hannah Dowdell 38th.
Montana State won both team titles, with the men recording five of the top six individual finishers and the women claiming four of the top-five spots.
