YAKIMA, Wash. — Two Yakima County school districts are asking voters to pass levies in the Feb. 12 special election, and anyone who plans to vote needs to register by Monday.
The levies are for the Selah and Toppenish school districts, and need only a simple majority to be approved. Selah is seeking a three-year, $6.5 million replacement maintenance and operations levy, and Toppenish is seeking a $4.4 million levy good for two years. Neither levy would impose new taxes.
