EAST WENATCHEE — A big second quarter and a big game from Trey Thomas helped Eastmont hold off Sunnyside in a CBBN boys basketball game Saturday night.

Thomas scored a game-best 24 points and also grabbed eight rebounds for Eastmont, which used a 20-8 second quarter to propel its 59-44 victory.

The win kept the Wildcats (9-1 league, 13-2 overall) two games ahead of Davis in the standings.

Trey Serl had 11 points, Cody Fernandez nine, and Eduardo Salmeron six points and six rebounds for the Grizzlies (4-6, 6-9).
