YAKIMA, Wash. — A Sunnyside man was sentenced Tuesday to five months in jail for two maintenance shop break-ins.
Juan G. Pina, 32, has been in custody since April 2, when he and another man were caught in possession of a trailer stolen from the Grandview School District maintenance shop.
In the back of the trailer was a commercial-grade John Deere lawnmower that had been recently reported stolen from a Yakima Valley Community College maintenance shop.
Pina was sentenced to five months for his plea to charges of second-degree burglary and possession of stolen property. He had a prior robbery felony on his record as a juvenile.
A stolen property charge is pending against co-defendant Troy J. Mears, 46, who is not in custody.
