YAKIMA, Wash. — Abigail Watkins pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in the first game and Paige Bonneville fired a two-hitter while going 4 for 4 in the second Friday as Eisenhower swept Sunnyside 12-0 and 10-1 in a CBBN softball doubleheader at Kiwanis Park.

Cassidy Kopp tripled twice and drove in three runs in the five-inning opener for the Cadets (8-4 league, 10-7 overall).

Danielle Packard had two hits and drove in a run in the second game for Ike, which continues league play Tuesday at Moses Lake.

Davis’ Alcazar fans 12

YAKIMA, Wash. — Chris Alcazar carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and struck out 12 to lead Davis to a 2-1 victory over Eastmont in the first game of a CBBN baseball doubleheader on Friday at Davis Field.

Jonathon Imperial backed Alcazar’s gem with a double and home run and Brett Williams also had two hits.

Eastmont rallied ton win the second game 3-2 and secure the No. 2 seed to district next week.

Davis, which finished the regular season 8-7 in league and 10-10 overall, owns the No. 4 seed and will play a loser-out game at No. 3 Wenatchee on May 16.

Bosma was 4 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBI in the opener but the Knights couldn’t hang on after building an 11-2 lead.

Sunnyside Christian closes out its regular season with a single game Tuesday at Granger.
