Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory
SELAH - Christopher Lee Stone “ Buggy,” you came into this world early on September 5th, 1993, born in Yakima Washington, and left us all much too early on July 20th, 2013. In your short 19 years you touched so many lives with your sweet, caring personality, your beautiful smile and your very special spirit. Christopher, the youngest of three sons, was born to Jeff and Michelle (Halcom) Stone. Christopher went to school in Selah, WA where he lived with his family at the time of his death. Christopher was a bright, intelligent child who loved to read, write stories, and had an amazing imagination. In his younger years he loved animals, especially elephants. He would spend hours making and playing Noah’s Ark. As he grew, the toy animals were replaced with his guitars and his love of music. A self-taught musician, he wrote his own songs and performed at local coffee houses. He also had a passion for Nintendo video games, especially the Mario characters. His most recent passion was drawing and painting the Mario characters. He enjoyed our summer vacations to Twin Lakes each summer to go tubing, our trips to Disneyland, and to Hawaii. He loved spending time with his big brothers Kyle and Devin and his best friends Zack and Brad. He enjoyed spending time with Grandma Gloria cooking and hearing family stories, spending time with his Aunt Jodi, Aunt Carol, and Aunt Franny. Christopher loved to hang out with his Dad and going to Goodwill and talking for hours about video games and music. Christopher was an extremely creative person with a unique sense of humor who did things his way.
Christopher is survived by his parents Jeff and Michelle Stone of Selah, WA, brothers Kyle Stone of Selah, WA, Devin Stone of Pullman, WA (go Cougs) sister Tia Smith of Wilburton, OK; grandparents Gloria and Mark Blakley of Zillah, WA, Marilyn Krieger of Denver, CO; also numerous special aunts, uncles, and cousins, his best friends Zack Galland and Brad Kahn, and his special kitty Maui. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Donald Halcom, James G. Stone, Sr., and Joe Krieger; uncle Joe, and Lacey our beloved dog.
Services to be held Friday July 26, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 702 N 1st, Selah, WA at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
I am not sure how we say good bye to our beloved son and brother Christopher. My baby boy is gone and our hearts are forever broken. We are trying to find a way to understand why this has happened and maybe there is no answer for that. But we are so thankful to the Heavenly Father for the 19 years you were here with us and the joy you brought to each and every one of us.
Brookside Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
