Who is responsible for nitrate pollution detected in Lower Valley wells?

The Environmental Protection Agency has indicated Lower Valley dairies are a likely source of some pollutants found in Lower Valley wells. The dairy industry has criticized the agency’s reporting methods and says better research is needed to reach conclusive answers. Reporter Ross Courtney’s recent story on this issue addressed both sides of the debate.
