Should authorities be able to review video from red-light cameras for investigations that are not related to traffic offenses?

Some legislators want to change the law that prohibits police from using video from red-light cameras in criminal investigations. Authorities say the footage could be useful in high-profile cases, but the ACLU says the move would be one step toward creation of a surveillance society.
