YAKIMA — In recognition of National Caregiver Month, the Yakima Valley Vet Center is holding an information session Thursday for caregivers who work with veterans.
The caregiver support and respite RN coordinators from the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Walla Walla, Edward Parker and Kate Gotch, will be in Yakima at the vet clinic Thursday to offer detailed answers for caregivers.
The information session is designed to be an informal one-on-one setting, according to a news release from the VA medical center, and will address several different areas of caregiving, from people who are caring for family members to those caring for veterans who were injured post-9/11.
“If you have questions, we have answers, and we want to arm you with all the information you need to help you care for our nation’s veterans,” the release said.
The information session will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Yakima vet clinic at 717 Fruitvale Blvd. For more information, call Ed Parker at 509-525-5200, ext. 22936, or 509-876-6068.
