Yakima and Sunnyside will both hold lighted parades this weekend.

Sunnyside’s 24th annual Lighted Farm Implement Parade kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Warehouse Avenue and Sixth Street. It continues down Sixth, turns at Edison Avenue and ends at Yakima Valley Highway.

Formal registration has ended, but the Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce says entries will be accepted up to the day of the parade. Late entries will not be able to be announced during the event, according to the chamber.

Yakima’s 13th annual Lighted Christmas Parade is set for Sunday.

A variety of vehicles bedecked with Christmas lights will roll down Yakima Avenue, starting at 5:30 p.m. from Yakima and Sixth avenues and continuing east to Millennium Plaza on South Third Street.

A lighting ceremony for a Christmas tree at the plaza will take place at that time, organizers say.

Anyone interested in entering the parade may call Joe Mann at 509-248-1117.
