Julian Erosa is just one of five mixed martial arts fighters training at the Yakima MMA facility in downtown Yakima who will be fighting in Saturday’s Cagesport XXII card at Tacoma’s Emerald Queen Casino.
Yakima native Eduardo Torres, who won nine bouts as a 145-pounder, will make his professional debut at the Cagesport event, for which Yakima MMA manager Rich Guerin is serving as matchmaker. Other Yakima competitors on the card are heavyweight Richard Foster, who is 2-0 as a pro, and featherweight Charon Spain (9-15), who is relatively new to the Yakima MMA team.
Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the Emerald Queen Casino box office. Doors open at 6 p.m. Saturday, with the first fight set for 7.
