Juan Bahena Salgado, 43, of Prosser died Saturday at Prosser Memorial Hospital. Mr. Salgado was born in Guerrero, Mexico. In 1977, the family settled in Chicago, where he was raised and later did factory work. In 1991, he moved to Prosser and worked for Yakima Valley Manufacturing in Sunnyside for four years. For the past 15 years, he worked for Chervenell Construction in Kennewick.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Salgado; two sons, Jason Salgado and Juan Salgado, all of Prosser; five sisters, Antonia Ocampo and Carmen Salgado, both of Georgia, Maria Magana of Prosser, Ino Campos of Chicago and Elicet Armenta of Benton City; and a brother, Marcial Salgado of Prosser.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and Thursday at Prosser Funeral Home. Recitation of the rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, also at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heath Catholic Church in Prosser.
