Donald Dean Walker, 85, of Naches died Sunday. Mr. Walker was born in Smith Center, Kan. At a young age, he worked at the Shell station in Naches and later worked as a logger for Layman Logging. In 1969, he bought his own ranch and farmed cherries, apples and pears.

Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Grahlfs; three sons, Gary Walker, Terry Walker and Rod Walker; a sister, Velda Welch; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Naches Cemetery. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home of Yakima.
