Elmer Joseph Boisselle, 93, of Yakima, formerly of Brownstown, died Friday at Ponderosa Assisted Living. Mr. Boisselle was born in Yakima. He farmed hops, wheat and cattle in Brownstown until he retired and moved to Yakima.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Boisselle of Yakima; 10 children, Carol Johnson and Francis Boisselle, both of Portland, Richard Boisselle of Yakima, Connie Merz of Blaine, Minn., Dorothy Heintz of Marietta, Calif., Marjorie Balch and Jim Boisselle, both of Harrah, David Boisselle of Perryville, Va., Doug Boisselle of Vancouver, Wash., and Mary Boisselle of Issaquah; a sister, Lorraine Hill of Yakima; 31 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 4 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Yakima, at a later date. Arrangements are by Brookside Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.
