John William Heintz, 90, of Grandview died Monday at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Mr. Heintz was born in Bowdle, S.D., and served in the Army during World War II. He lived in California for a short time before moving to Prosser. He then settled in Grandview, where he lived for most of his life. He was self-employed as a carpenter and electrician, having trained at Davis Electric in Grandview.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise (Kellen) Sage Heintz of Prosser; a daughter, Joyce Miller-Graham; a son, Jim Michael Heintz, both of Selah; a stepdaughter, Mary Sage Rusk of Prosser; two brothers, Tony Heintz of Prosser and Ray Heintz of Everett; 16 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Prosser Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview. Burial will follow in the Prosser Cemetery.
