Shirley N. McConnell, 93, of Richland died Saturday at Richland Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. McConnell was born in Eustis, Fla., moved to Yakima in 1937 and to Prosser in 1947. She worked as a registered nurse and later as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. She spent time as a school nurse in the Prosser School District and then worked in every hospital from the Tri-Cities to Yakima before retiring.
Survivors include a son, Steve McConnell of Richland; two daughters, Debbie Wilson of Boise, Idaho, and Barbara Ham of Richland; a sister, Flora Chezum of Olympia; a stepbrother, Clyde Andrews of Othello; three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Prosser United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Prosser Funeral Home.
