Phillip Edward Roberts, 76, of Yakima died Sunday at Parkside Nursing Center in Union Gap.

Mr. Roberts was born in Yakima. He lived most of his life in the Valley. He was employed with Tri-Ply Construction for more than 10 years before he became a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Roberts of Yakima; a daughter, Mickie Hacker of Bremerton; two sons, Raymond Roberts and William Roberts, both of Yakima; two brothers, Hector James Roberts of Union Gap and Richard Roberts of West Valley; two sisters, Jean Young of Gleed and Virginia Rimmelspacher of Clarkston; and eight grandchildren.

At Mr. Roberts’ request, there will be no formal services. Arrangements are by Rainier Memorial Center of Yakima.
