Robert “Bob” Erskine, 86, of Yakima died Thursday at Cottage in the Meadow.
Mr. Erskine was born in Astoria, Ore., and grew up in Seattle. He served in the Navy during World War II and later served as a Marine during the Korean War. He was a territory trooper in Alaska and became a state trooper when Alaska became a state. He later moved to Yakima, where he became a Farmers Insurance agent.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Erskine; two sons, Bob Erskine Jr. and Scott Erskine; two daughters, Chris McGree and Victoria Tallman; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel, Yakima.
