Maria Elena Trevino Villanueva, 77, of Yakima died Friday.
Mrs. Trevino Villanueva was born in Charco, Texas. She worked as a Spanish interpreter for the Yakima and Lower Valley courts for 20 years.
Survivors include nine children, Jesse Mapelli, Cecelia Castro, Mary Irene Villanueva, Rick Villanueva, Rose Marie Senn, David Villaneuva, Lela Bowman, Angela Trevino and Amalia Sanchez; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will be in the Zillah Cemetery.
