Marilee Ruth Shively, 57, of Yakima died Friday at her home.

Dr. Shively was born in Oregon City, Ore. She lived in Portland and began her residency in Pediatric Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She also worked in medical missions in Swaziland, Africa. She moved to Yakima in 1988, after working for Multnomah County at the N.E. Health Center in Portland. She practiced in Toppenish at the Yakama Indian Health Service and taught at the Central Washington Family Medicine Residency Program.

Survivors include her husband, Norm Shively of Yakima; two children, Erin Conlee of Rochester, Minn., and Scott Shively of Yakima; her father, LaVerne Streight of Nampa, Idaho; one brother, Dave Streight of Nampa; two sisters, Julia Bloomquist of Albuquerque, N.M., and Karen Horwood of Salt Lake City.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at West Valley Church, 7109 W. Nob Hill Blvd. Interment will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory, Yakima.
