Lila G. Ambrose, 78, of White Swan died Monday in Toppenish.

Mrs. Amrose was born in White Swan. She served in the Marines during the Korean War. She worked as the Yakama Nation Tribal Court children’s judge for 25 years and was a residential living supervisor at Fort Simcoe Job Corps, retiring in 2009.

Survivors include a daughter, Pattie Jo Woodward; a brother, Corky Ambrose; two sisters, Theresa Sampson, all of White Swan, and Juanita Wallahee of Harrah; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Dressing service is at 10 a.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home, Toppenish, with overnight services at the Toppenish Longhouse. The funeral will be at sunrise Wednesday in the Hadley Cemetery near White Swan.
