Raymond Louis Lessard, 87, of Yakima died Sunday at Chesterley Meadows.
Mr. Lessard was born in Oakwood, N.D. He was raised in Grafton, N.D., and lived in the Moxee and Terrace Heights areas since 1943. He drove a cement truck for Union Concrete Pipe Co. for more than 35 years. He also worked 17 years at Fosseen’s as yard foreman, retiring in 1996.
Survivors include his wife, Fran Lessard of Yakima; three daughters, Nancy Richardson of Yakima, Joy Lessard of Ellensburg and Darla Kenoyer of Cashmere; five siblings, AnnaBelle Schmidt, Don Lessard and Joyce Hammermeister, all of Yakima, and Art Lessard and Dean Lessard, both of Arizona; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Moxee. A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Private family inurnment will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Brookside Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
