EDITOR’S NOTE: Thanks to the compassion of countless people in the Yakima Valley, we’ve been able to help the less fortunate through Season of Sharing, now in its 12th year. Working through the Yakima County RSVP, local nonprofits have provided information on individuals and families who could use your help. Each day through Christmas, the Yakima Herald-Republic will publish information in print and online about some of those in need.

A family that up until recently was homeless needs help. Mom is single and raising five children.

The oldest son, 13, wears a large coat/shirt, 34x34 pants and size 9½ shoes. His favorite color is black and he would like athletic balls. His brother, 6, wears a size 8 coat/shirt/pant and size 1 shoes. His favorite color is blue and he likes Legos and cars. The oldest daughter, 5, wears size 7 coat/shirt/pant and size 13 shoes. Her favorite color is pink and she likes Bratz. The 3-year-old girl wears a size 5 coat/shirt, size 4 pant and size 8 shoes. The mom wears a large coat, size 9 pant and size 5 shoes. Her favorite color is black.

The entire family could also use gloves and socks as well as household items for their apartment, such as blankets, soap and hygiene items, a shower curtain, rugs, laundry soap and cleaning supplies.

Donations need to be received by Dec. 20 at the Grandview School District, 1401 W. Second St., Grandview. For more information, contact Petra Morales at 509-882-8536, 509-305-9207 or pmmorales@gsd200.org.
