YAKIMA, Wash. -- When it came to shooting his age, Dave Betzing had a pretty good week.

Betzing, 76, shot his age during a round Saturday at the Yakima Elks Golf & Country Club, and then bettered his age with a round of 74 Tuesday, also the Yakima Elks.

Saturday’s round was witnessed by Ron Donaldson, Tom Lovell and John Crimin.

Tuesday’s round was witnessed by Donaldson, Ted Stone, Norm Kuhlmann and Lew Bassell.

Frazier records ace

Joe Frazier recorded his first hole-in-one while playing in the final round of the Apple Tree Men’s Club Championship on Sunday. Frazier aced the 134-yard 13th hole with a pitching wedge. Matthew Crockett, Jason Galloway and Steve Crow witnessed the shot.

Sires gets first ace

Evelyn Sires scored her first hole-in-one on Apple Tree’s signature 17th hole during a round Sunday. Sires used a 3-wood on the 117-yard shot.

Warren Sires and Don Uebelacker witnessed the shot.

VanDevender scores ace

Cherrill VanDevender, from Hawaii, recorded her first hole-in-one while playing a round Tuesday at Apple Tree Golf Course.

VanDevender aced the 114-yard 13th hole using a 5-wood.

Sheron Burns, Linda deYoung and Karen Loren witnessed the shot.
