Darrell Albert Woods, 55, of Wapato died Tuesday. Mr. Woods was born in Toppenish and was a member of the Yakama Nation. He worked in wood production.

Survivors include his mother, Louise Frank Woods; a brother, Cedric Clark of Wapato; six sisters, Yvette James of Harrah, Monica Clark, Alveda Hansen, Linda Woods and Christine Woods, all of Wapato, and Mary Lairmore of Roy.

A dressing service will be at 10 a.m. today at Merritt Funeral Home, Wapato. A Washaat service will be at 7 p.m. today at the family home, 2520 S. Wapato Road, Wapato. A second Washaat service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Toppenish Creek Longhouse in White Swan. The funeral will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at the longhouse. Burial will be in Toppenish Creek Cemetery.
