Stella Olive (Van Horn) Tyler, 68, of Sunnyside died Tuesday. Mrs. Tyler was born in Mabton. She was a certified nursing assistant at many nursing homes in the Yakima Valley and also waitressed at the Safari Restaurant and the Toppenish Sales Yard. She also did housekeeping at the Sunvalley Inn.

Survivors include her companion, Thomas Coe of Sunnyside; three children, Barbara Ehart of Bellevue, Lloyd Tyler of Aberdeen and Sam Tyler of Sunnyside; seven stepchildren, David Tyler and Mary Ann Justice, both of California, Floyd Tyler of Florida, Peggy Sue Hamblin and Terry Lee Coe, both of Washington, Mike Coe of Alaska and Donald Coe of Oregon; three brothers, Robert Van Horn, Lloyd Van Horn Jr. and Delbert Van Horn; two sisters, Hazel Mertz and Sarah St. George; 10 grandchildren, two stepgrandsons and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and potluck will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sunnyside Eagles. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Homes Ltd. and Crematory of Sunnyside.
