YAA Annual Luminaria walk

This two-night event will enchant the entire family. Over a thousand candles will light your way as you venture past the tallest lighted Christmas tee in Central Washington. Walkers will listen to the music of the Arboretum’s Carillon Bell Tower as they stroll through the twinkling lights of the Japanese Garden, then on to the Jewett Interpretive Center where they will enjoy steaming cups of coffee, hot cocoa or hot apple cider, tasty treats, live music performed each hour by various local artists, fun children’s crafts and shopping in the Tree House Gift Shop. The trail is relatively flat and designed to be used without a flashlight.

When: 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 14 and 15

Where: Yakima Area Arboretum

Cost: Free, but donations welcome
