Helen E. Yelechchin, 52, of Yakima died Friday.
She was born in Toppenish and raised in the Yakima Valley. She worked as a caregiver.
Survivors include three sons, Elias Queahpama of Yakima, Joseph Queahpama of Wapato and Christopher Witt of Sunnyside; three daughters, Amanda Yelechchin of White Swan, Katherine Yelechchin of Toppenish and Ivana Witt of Bellingham; three brothers, Carl Peter of Fort Hall, Idaho, Abe Hudson of White Swan and Leroy Hudson of White Swan; two sisters, Mary Nelson of Wapato and Matilda Smiskin of Toppenish; and six grandchildren.
Dressing services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Toppenish Long House, followed by overnight services. Sunrise burial will be at Pete Cemetery in Mabton.
