TOPPENISH, Wash. — Christian Villegas’ first-half goal gave East Valley the lead and Gage Fereday made two saves to make it stand up as the Red Devils edged Toppenish 1-0 in CWAC boys soccer on Saturday.

East Valley (4-4, 7-7) closes out its league season Tuesday hosting CWAC champion Grandview while Toppenish (6-2, 9-5-1) travels to Selah.

SELAH 1, OTHELLO 0 (OT): At Selah, Brennan Ball scored four minutes into overtime off an assist from John Harrington to give Selah (6-2) the victory and help the Vikings move into a tie with Toppenish for second place in the CWAC.

That sets up a showdown Tuesday at home against Toppenish, which lost 1-0 to East Valley on Saturday.

Joel Dallman stopped five shots to earn the shutout.
