A.D. Wilson, 79, of Selah, died Thursday at Crescent Health Care in Yakima.

Mr. Wilson was born in Sylamore, Ark., and moved to Washington in 1946. He served in the Army. He then worked for Safeway in Seattle and for the Naches Selah Irrigation District. He also owned Wilson Custom Meat and raised cattle.

Survivors include his wife, Glennis Wilson of Selah; two daughters, Carrie Armstrong of Richland and Julie Heckerman of Liberty Lake; three brothers, Doyle Wilson of Wapato, Barney Wilson of Allyn and Ira Wilson of Ormand Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Selah United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Bookside Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.
