Lloyd C. Blondin, 80, of Yakima died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Yakima and worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his life. He served as an Army sergeant during the Korean War.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Descoteaux of Spokane and Teresa Lemon of San Antonio, Texas; three sons, Glenn Blondin of Belleville, Ill., Walter Blondin of Kodiak, Alaska, and William Blondin of Zillah; and a sister, Lorraine Dayton of Yakima.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Hills Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
