Clarice Ann Nelson, 90, of Yakima died Friday at home.

She was born in Seattle and raised in Renton. She earned a bachelor’s degree in art and a master’s in education from Central Washington University before moving to Yakima in 1950. She taught elementary school in the West Valley School District for 30 years until retiring.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Larrison of Yakima; a son, Mike Nelson of Yakima; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A private family service is planned. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Ellensburg. Arrangements are by Prosser Funeral Home and Crematory.
