Warren E. Hazen, 87, of Prosser died Monday at home. Mr. Hazen was born in Eau Claire, Wis., and later moved to Wapato. He served in the Army Air Corps, and then returned home to take over the family farm in Wapato. He also owned a fast food restaurant in Union Gap before purchasing an apple orchard near Grandview. He farmed until 2007, when he retired and moved to Prosser.
Survivors include his companion, Joyce Bardessono of Prosser; three sons, Warren Hazen of Marysville, Eugene Hazen of Yakima and Richard Hazen of Puyallup; three daughters, Sandy Sorensen of Florida, Cheryl Viernes of Wapato and Victoria Viernes of Yakima; two sisters, Alice Lisk of Seattle and Audra Burris of Sequim; 12 grandchildren and numerous grandchildren.
Private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Prosser Funeral Home.
