Central Washington’s Jordan Todd and Mike Nelson have been named to the Don Hansen All-Super Region III third team.
Todd, a sophomore running back from Interlake High School in Bellevue, gained 1,213 yards last season to become the 12th player in school history to reach the 1,000-yard milestone. He was an All-GNAC first team selection.
Nelson, a senior offensive tackle from Mount Si High School, was the conference’s offensive lineman of the year.
The Wildcats finished 7-4 last season and tied Western Oregon for second place in the conference under interim head coach John Picha.
Central’s search for a permanent head coach has been narrowed to four finalists who will visit Ellensburg for interviews next week. The finalists are former CWU player and assistant coach John Graham, currently associate head coach and defensive coordinator at Eastern Washington; former Washington and Washington State assistant Chris Tormey; St. Cloud State assistant coach Ian Shoemaker; and Skyline High School head coach Mat Taylor.
Picha, a longtime Wildcats assistant, chose not to seek the job on a permanent basis.
