Roberta Caroline Michaels, 84, of Yakima died Sunday at Highgate House. Mrs. Michaels was born in Meridian, Idaho. She worked as a key punch operator at Boeing for seven years and then worked for the Clover Park School District for 23 years, retiring in 2005. She moved to Yakima after retiring.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Franks of Chula Vista, Calif., and Anita Hartmann of Puyallup; five siblings, Estel Vanwinkle of Astoria, Ore., Cecilia Achatz of La Pine, Ore., Clara Yeager and John Woods of Yakima and Charles Woods of Albany, Ore.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Yakima. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home of Yakima.
