Workshop focuses on vineyard, winery basics
PROSSER — Washington State University will host a “Vine to Wine” workshop April 20-21 at the Best Western Inn at Horse Heaven Hills, 259 Merlot Drive.
The workshop, which is being organized though a collaboration with wine industry professionals, is for anyone interested in starting a vineyard or winery or those new to the Washington wine industry.
Participants will learn the essentials of economical and environmentally sustainable high-quality grape and wine production practices. Different topics to be covered include vineyard establishment and management, principles of site selection and the science of red and white winemaking.
The cost is $60 for one day or $100 for both days and includes a digital copy of presented information, food and a social. Space is limited and preregistration is required. For more information and to register, visit bit.ly/Vhq6MT.
