FairPoint Communications named Selah resident Bill Malesich a top sales performer for 2012. Malesich was recognized for his top performance in meeting customer needs and outstanding service.

KAPP-TV has hired Paula Rodriquez as an account executive. Rodriquez worked in advertising for more than 14 years, including at Yakima Valley’s Flint Publishing and KXLY-FM in Spokane.


Perry Technical Institute has hired Max York as an instructor for its Instrumentation and Industrial Automation Technology Program. York, a graduate of the program, retired from the Army National Guard in 2008 with 21 years of service. While in the National Guard, York worked as an electronics mechanic.


Waddell & Reed has named Yakima financial adviser Todd Homer as part of its President’s Council. Homer was just one of about 12 Waddell & Reed advisers nationwide to be selected. Homer’s selection was based on an analysis of his investment, insurance and financial planning sales.


Bill Wyckoff has joined Pacific Crest Insurance of Yakima as an agency representative selling personal lines of insurance. Wyckoff has been in the insurance field for more than 15 years.
