Already famous for their dried and chocolate-covered cherry products, Prosser-based Chukar Cherries entered the mail-order baked goods market this month with the release of a new Cherry Raspberry Coffee Cake.

A news release from the company describes the cake as a sour cream bundt-style, with a crumb texture and filled with Chukar’s sour cherry raspberry sauce and tart cherries. It’s topped off with a cinnamon-almond streusel and serves 12 to 16 people.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go find some because that sounds amazing.

“We wanted to develop the best mail order coffee cake on the market,” says Pamela Montgomery, Chukar’s Founder and CEO in the news release. “We’re very pleased with the taste, presentation, and quality. Now we look forward to comments from our customers.”

The release says that Chukar plans on expanding it’s line of baked goods next year.

You can order the cake off Chukar Cherries website, where it sells for $29.95. Standard shipping is $8.95. You can also check out Chukar’s products at their corporate headquarters and retail store in Prosser, 320 Wine COuntry Road, or their stores in Pike Place Market in Seattle or Leavenworth’s Bavarian Village.
