UNION GAP — The public is invited to the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War’s annual Lincoln’s Birthday Tea at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Yakima Valley Genealogical Library at 1901 S. 12th Ave.
A notice of the event that ran in Wednesday’s edition incorrectly listed the library’s address.
The guest speaker will be Paul Schafter, a well-known valley historian. His address is titled “A World in Crisis.”
To qualify for membership in the organization, one must prove ancestry to a Civil War veteran. The group’s goals are to foster patriotism, aid veterans organizations and honor the courage and strength of this country’s forefathers.
