Luis Cuevas, 90, of Toppenish died Wednesday at home. Mr. Cuevas was born in Michoacan, Mexico, and moved to the Yakima Valley in 1981. He worked as a farm laborer.
Survivors include seven sons, Andres, Efren, Jose, Gerardo, Francisco, Israel and Oscar Cuevas; two daughters, Rosa Lucatero and Vitalina Arias; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m., today, with recitation of the rosary at 5 p.m., at Colonial Funeral Home in Toppenish. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Toppenish. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
