Gillam Lanzy Rogers, 56, of Wapato, WA passed away September 18, 2012 at Yakima Regional Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born to Homer and Dolly Rogers in Yakima, WA. Lynn is survived by his step father Frank and mother Dolly Gangle; his son Willie Gene Rogers of Union Gap; brother Jeff (Kat) Rogers of Yakima; his sisters Barbara (Rick) Sims of Monroe, WA, Debbie (Rusty) Brischle of Colorado Springs, CO Vickie Gangle of Selah, Donna (Greg) DeBeaumont of Moses Lake; step sisters Cathryn (Mike) Laws of Zillah, Tammy (Jerry) Griffith of Kennewick; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lynn was preceded in death by his father Homer Rogers; sister Brenda Rogers; brother Frank E. Gangle; his wife Sharon Rogers; grandparents; and many cousins.
Lynn spent several years in Spokane where he worked several jobs: he worked as a carpenter, in a refinery, and was a creative landscaper. He loved gardening, raising flowers, playing guitar, and loved drawing pictures which he shared with everyone.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato, WA. Burial to follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park.
