John P. Dana, 90, of Moxee died Wednesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Dana was born in Sheridan, Wyo., and raised in Boise, Idaho. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He lived in South Bend, Ind., and later in Los Angeles, where he began coaching and teaching in Lynwood, Calif. He moved to Seattle and worked for Bethlehem Steel for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He then moved to Moxee.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Dana; five children, Betsy Roy, John Dana Jr., Robin Dana and Paul Dana, all of Moxee, and Tim Dana of Seattle; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will have a private celebration of life. Arrangements are by Brookside Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
