William “Bill” H. Garner, 86, of Grandview died Saturday at Cottage in the Meadow. Mr. Garner was born in Diamond, Mo., and served in the Army during the Korean War. He helped build many of the dams on the Columbia River along with bridges on Interstate 82. He was also a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Rollie Mae Garner; three sons, Joe Garner of Zillah, Grant Garner of Rhododendron, Ore., and Mark Garner of Yakima; a sister, Orba Noyes of Selah; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home, Yakima. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in West Hills Memorial Park, West Valley.
