Chester B. Myers, 84, of Prosser died Friday. Mr. Myers was born in Denver and served in the Air Force. He worked for the Sioux Ordnance Depot in Sidney, Neb., before accepting an offer from General Electric to work at Hanford. He also farmed apples, alfalfa, cherries, wheat and raised cattle and pigs while working at Hanford. After 30 years as a lab technician manager, he retired in 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Yonnah Jackson; a son, Lindley Myers; and a brother, Rodger Worrall.
Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside.
